My last name and my company’s first name is pronounced Dornor (Door-Nor).

I’ve always found it fitting that it begins with the word door.

Because every meaningful transformation begins with one.

A door represents possibility. A choice. A new direction. The courage to leave what no longer serves you and step into who you are becoming.

For me, that is more than a symbol.

It is the work I have devoted my life to.

The name Michelle has roots connected to the question, “Who is like God?”—a reminder to walk with humility, purpose, and reverence rather than ego. The middle initial M has become part of my professional identity, representing the many roles I have embraced throughout my life—mentor, military veteran, marketer, mother-figure to many, messenger, and lifelong student. And Dornor, a rare Ghanaian family name connected to legacy, home, and belonging, reminds me that transformation is not only about becoming someone new—it is also about remembering who you have always been.
